Project Description
About Suzi Morris
Scottish born Suzi Morris’ painting-based practice examines the relationship between paint, colour and lived experience. Combining references to the body, perception, advanced medical science and late-modernist colour-field painting, her vibrant gestural abstractions explore the visual possibilities of the contemporary sublime. Morris is now London based and has a studio in south London.
Education:
After completing an MA in Fine Art at the City & Guilds of London Art School, Morris undertook a practice-based Professional Doctorate in Fine Art at UEL. On completion in 2017, she proposed The Viral Sublime as a new category and extension to knowledge within the canon of art history surrounding the concept of the sublime. Morris’s work is represented in the Imperial College Art Collection, London, and several private and corporate collections globally.
