About Gandee Vasan

I have been working in the visual arts and creative industries for over thirty years and am motivated by the emotional power that drives all visual communication. I take pains to see that technique appeals to the heart, not just the intellect and focus on simple, powerful imagery that gets the message across. My work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery as part of the BP Portrait Painting Awards and the Taylor Wessing Photographic Awards. I was also responsible for the restoration, entirely digitally, of the Gentilischi ceiling of Queens House in Greenwich for the National Maritime Museum in the embryonic days of digital technology. I do conceptual images for advertising for clients including Unilever, GSK, Mars Pet care, Nestle Purina and Hills among others. I also do artwork in traditional mediums. I have done photographic books of expressive portraits of dogs and cats and the images are used widely through Getty Images.
