About Caroline Pool

After graduating and working full time in set design for feature films such as Ridley Scott’s, ‘Robin Hood’ and Alfonso Cuaron’s, ‘Gravity,’ I followed my instincts and returned to painting. Though predominantly a portrait artist, I have two distinct approaches to my work. The more analytical side that obsesses over the human form and anatomy and the second approach which perhaps developed as an antidote to the first with a more playful exploration of portraits of objects through colour, outlines and texture.
